The DIGITUS® gigabit fiber optic switch makes 8 fiber optic SFP ports and 2 RJ45 Uplink ports with gigabit bandwidth available. Economical acquisition costs, simple operation and high performance are the strengths of this fiber optic switch. The switch is designed for FTTX applications such as FTTN, FTTC, FTTB, FTTD or FTTH, with the areas of application primarily for fiber optic LANs, industrial Ethernet environments, distributed control systems and digital video surveillance. The switch can be used in campus networks, remote LAN expansions, metro Ethernet distributions and ISP backbone applications. The optical modules can be exchanged during operation (hot swappable).
