In certain cases it is advisable to mount the projection screen at a distance from the wall. This may be because there is a painting on the wall at the point where the projection screen should hang, for example. In the case of overhead projection, it can also be necessary to position the projection screen fabric at an angle in order to prevent distortion of the image.
