This is the smallest available memory card format in consumer electronics today. The microSD was originally pioneered by SanDisk and introduced to the market as TransFlash before it was adopted by the SD Card Association and received its current name.

Used In:
- Mobile phones, PDAs, audio/video players, or any product that takes full-size SD using included adapter.

Special features:
- SanDisk microSD cards are sold with full-size adapters for convenient use with computers, PDAs, or other compatible devices. SanDisk microSD cards are interchangeable with TransFlash card slots.
